EPR Tuning

2006 VW T5 1.9 TDI PD86 in for Custom Tuning on our Dyno.

This T5 had been tuned previously unbeknown to the customer. However, it had much more to give so we set to work returning the van to stock followed by our Custom Stage 1 Software Calibration.

EPR Tuning

Our new 2020 M2 Competition development car arrived earlier this week.

It went to our good friends at Gleaming Motors first for a full paint protection treatment followed by delivery to Wrap It Graphics sw Ltd for PPF (Paint Protection Film) to be applied.

EPR Tuning

2016 Ford Ranger 3.2 TDCI in for Custom Tuning on our Dyno.

It is very common for these 200 PS Ford engines not to make the manufacturer claimed figures. Many accurate Dyno's across the tuning industry are proving time and time again between 20-25hp lower than manufacturers claimed figures.

This one was no exception making 189hp stock. However, we made fantastic delta gains from the actual stock performance readings vs our Custom Stage 1 Software Calibration.

EPR Tuning

2015 VW T5 2.0 TDI in for Custom Tuning on our Dyno.

The 2.0 TDI 102hp engine is a factory detuned version of the 2.0 TDI 140hp engine. However, the 140hp version runs a 6 speed gearbox with a stronger clutch and flywheel. In order to protect the smaller flywheel fitted to the 5 speed gearbox found in this 102hp version, torque should be capped to around 380nm.

This van had been tuned elsewhere to almost 430nm, a level of torque only suitable for the 6 speed version. This resulted in a new clutch and flywheel being needed for this T5 with less than 30k miles on the clock and an understandably unhappy customer who was recommended to us so we could check the previous map.

We returned the van to stock and built our Bespoke Stage 1 Calibration, to a sensible level and within safe parameters for the 5 speed gearbox. We also focused on keeping power delivery as smooth as stock and the graph speaks for itself.

It's not all about the highest figures and more about making improvements whilst keeping things within a safe limit!
